These include commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, entertainment venues, and more. The company is driven by its commitment to creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment through its comprehensive range of services. These services include janitorial maintenance, engineering, parking solutions, electrical and lighting services, energy management including electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical services, landscaping and turf care, as well as mission-critical solutions. The company is proud to foster an inclusive workplace that values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities. Part of ABM’s commitment includes participating in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security E-Verify program to confirm employment eligibility and actively supporting veterans transitioning from military service into rewarding civilian careers with world-class training and development opportunities.

The Lead position at ABM located at 30260 S Graaskamp Blvd., Wilmington, IL, offers a critical supervisory role ensuring all facility operations comply with company policies and procedures. This role provides leadership and direction by coordinating daily operations, delegating assignments, and offering guidance to team members, particularly in the absence of the onsite manager. The Shift Leader plays an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the building by adhering to established standards and operating specialized cleaning equipment efficiently and safely. This includes handling cleaning chemicals and supporting janitorial duties as necessary. The work schedule is set for either Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday from 6:30 pm to 5:00 am, offering a stable evening shift opportunity with competitive pay at $18.50 per hour.

As a Lead at ABM, the responsibilities extend beyond direct supervision to include quality assurance of cleaning operations, training new hires in compliance with onboarding procedures, managing keys and access control for the property, and overseeing inventory of supplies, equipment, and cleaning chemicals. The role requires proactive communication to document and report any client interactions, submit work schedules, and handle any barriers that may interfere with job completion. Safety and facility upkeep are paramount, and the Lead must report damages or issues and coordinate additional service requests as assigned. This position offers a rewarding environment for individuals who thrive in leadership roles within the facility services industry, showcasing excellent customer service capabilities along with the ability to manage a team effectively. ABM’s comprehensive benefits package further enhances the employment experience, making this an excellent opportunity for experienced supervisors seeking growth and stability in the janitorial and building maintenance sector.
