Established in 1909, ABM has grown to serve over 20,000 clients and employs more than 100,000 team members worldwide across 350+ offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international locations. The company's extensive range of services includes janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical support, landscape and turf management, and mission-critical solutions. ABM’s client base spans commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, entertainment venues, and more, showcasing its versatility and leadership in the facility services industry.

The role of Lead at ABM is a pivotal position responsible for supervising daily facility operations with an emphasis on adherence to policies and standards that maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment for both workers and customers. As a Lead, you will oversee and coordinate operational activities at the assigned site, stepping in as the primary supervisory presence in the absence of the Facility Manager. The position requires proactive communication between field employees and management, monitoring client interactions, and documenting essential information for operational transparency.

An integral part of the Lead’s responsibilities involves hands-on involvement with janitorial duties, including the operation of specialized cleaning equipment and handling cleaning chemicals safely and effectively. You'll be tasked with maintaining supplies, inspecting equipment weekly, and promptly reporting any damaged or malfunctioning items. The Lead also plays a central role in training new hires, ensuring they comply with onboarding procedures and understand the facility’s standards. Scheduling responsibilities include assisting with the creation of daily and weekly work schedules to optimize operational efficiency.

This role is perfect for individuals entering or returning to the workforce, offering an opportunity to develop leadership and operational skills within a supportive and veteran-friendly company culture. ABM encourages applications from those with military experience and provides an environment that supports professional growth and advancement. The hourly pay rate for this position starts at $21.73, with specific offers reflecting candidates’ experience, skills, geographic location, and market factors. ABM also offers a comprehensive benefits package, making it an attractive option for individuals seeking stable employment with growth potential.

Overall, the Lead position at ABM is a hands-on leadership role essential to maintaining the high standards that ABM is known for, demanding reliability, leadership capabilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety and customer satisfaction. The opportunity to work for a global leader in facility services provides a career pathway with solid foundations and ample opportunities for growth within the company and industry.
