Job Description

Indian Rocks Eats is a dynamic hospitality ministry affiliated with Indian Rocks Church and Christian School, dedicated to serving fresh, high-quality meals in a spiritually uplifting environment. The organization's core mission is to nourish both the body and spirit of students, athletes, families, and the local community through exceptional food service and hospitality. With a focus on fostering a positive and team-oriented kitchen culture, Indian Rocks Eats emphasizes excellence, creativity, and servant leadership in all aspects of its operations.

The Lead Chef role at Indian Rocks Eats is a pivotal position designed for a passionate culinary professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume kitchen settings while embracing a servant-hearted approach to leadership. This full-time role offers a consistent schedule that promotes a manageable work-life balance and a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact through the intersection of culinary arts and ministry. The Lead Chef will be responsible for spearheading daily lunch services catering to over 1,500 students and staff members, managing meal preparation for the specialized Fueling for Excellence athlete nutrition program, and supporting a variety of catering events, family dinners, and community functions that the ministry hosts.

In addition to managing food preparation and service logistics, the Lead Chef will uphold the highest standards of food quality, safety, cleanliness, and presentation. The role requires strong organizational skills to assist with kitchen coordination, recipe scaling, and inventory management while fostering an encouraging, team-driven kitchen atmosphere. As a mentor and leader, the Lead Chef will cultivate a positive kitchen culture rooted in collaboration, faith-based values, and professional growth, ensuring all team members function harmoniously and effectively.

Joining Indian Rocks Eats means stepping into a purpose-driven work environment that values culinary innovation and servant leadership. Candidates will cooperate closely with church and school administration to ensure alignment with organizational policies and biblical principles, influencing a broad audience through excellent hospitality. This role is ideal for those who desire to combine their culinary talents with their commitment to serving others and making a difference in a faith-centered community. The Lead Chef position not only advances one's culinary career but also provides a platform to mentor others and lead through example in a supportive ministry-focused setting, reinforcing personal and professional development through meaningful service.
