The LEAD CASHIER position at FISD Westminster Augusta location is a vital role focused on maintaining excellent guest services and ensuring seamless transactional processes at the point of sale (PoS). This is a full-time role with a work schedule from Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, offering a pay range between $12.00 and $15.00 per hour. The lead cashier will be responsible for expediting guest transactions efficiently and accurately while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include controlling all cash and media materials, overseeing guest returns, exchanges, and other transactions, and supporting loss-prevention efforts. The role demands solid knowledge of company policies, strict adherence to procedures, and active supervision of cashier staff productivity, scheduling, and breaks. Additional duties include helping in training cashiers, preparing daily deposits, managing front-end supplies, and occasionally covering cashier shifts when needed. Job Requirements

  • Previous cashiering and point of sale experience required
  • ability to work full time Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • strong customer service orientation
  • ability to supervise and schedule staff
  • ability to comply with company policies and loss-prevention protocols
  • willingness to cover shifts as needed

Job Duties

  • Greet and acknowledge every guest
  • maintain solid product knowledge
  • provide outstanding guest service
  • oversee and authorize guest returns exchanges merchandise credits check authorization charge sends rain checks and discretionary discounts
  • assure completion of all PoS transactions and proper control of cash and media at PoS registers
  • help train cashiers and crosstrain other associates
  • prepare daily deposits change and media
  • ensure compliance with company policies procedures and practices
  • support loss-prevention efforts
  • oversee productivity breaks and daily scheduling of cashiers
  • communicate performance issues to management
  • maintain front-end supplies
  • provide guest service floor moves housekeeping display maintenance and merchandise replenishment as needed
  • cover cashier shifts when call-offs occur
  • perform other duties as assigned
