The Lead Cashier role at Ulta Beauty is a key position that contributes significantly to the store's performance and guest experience. This position focuses on ensuring the efficiency of guest transactions while maintaining high standards of cash wrap cleanliness and overall aesthetics. The Lead Cashier is not only responsible for delivering excellent customer service, but also plays a leadership role by training new cashiers and cross-training other associates. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience preferred
Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical ability to perform tasks including bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, and continuous mobility
Strong customer service orientation
Proficient with technology such as POS systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lead, train, and motivate others
Demonstrated ability to multitask and problem-solve
Commitment to Ulta Beauty's policies and dress code

Job Qualifications

High school diploma preferred
2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and selling
Experience addressing guest concerns professionally
Demonstrated experience exceeding sales goals and training new hires
Proficient with Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Ability to handle pressure and adapt to changing situations

Job Duties

Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store's goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty, and retail shrink
Ensure that each guest receives exceptional service by providing a guest-friendly environment including greeting and engaging guests
Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
Support makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest service experience
Book appointments and support in-store events
Take ownership of cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures
Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates
Maintain compliance with company policies and proper cash and media handling
Participate in ongoing training and collaborate with managers and associates
