The role of Lead Cashier at Ulta Beauty is critical in ensuring a superior guest experience and efficient transaction management. Job Requirements
- work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- must be 18 years or older
- maintain prompt, regular attendance
- adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code
- knowledge of and compliance with company policies and procedures
- ability to continuously move throughout the store including twisting, bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 25 lbs
- be physically capable to manipulate objects throughout the shift
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma preferred
- 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and competency in selling
- experience addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- demonstrated success in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- proficient with basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- ability to react under pressure, use good judgment, and be flexible/adaptable
Job Duties
- contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty including credit, and retail shrink
- ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting and engaging, personalizing service, and recommending products and services
- courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
- pair guests with associates for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations
- book appointments and support in-store events to deliver an unrivaled guest experience
- maintain cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures for guest-readiness
- support leadership with open and close register functions, cashier chat ins/outs, and associate exit inspections
