The role of Lead Cashier at Ulta Beauty is a vital position that blends customer service excellence with operational leadership. Job Requirements
- Work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to frequently bend, pull, push, crouch, stoop, twist and reach
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds
- Continuous mobility throughout the store during shift
- Ability to coordinate and manipulate objects during shift
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Two years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task and problem-solve
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and selling
- Experience in addressing guest concerns professionally
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals
- Experience training new hires
- Proficient with basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
- Able to react under pressure and adapt to changing situations
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding store sales, service, omni-channel and loyalty goals including credit
- Ensure exceptional guest service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service and recommending products
- Handle sales, refunds and exchanges courteously
- Book appointments and support in-store events to deliver exceptional guest experiences and sales
- Maintain cashwrap displays, supplies and impulse fixtures for guest readiness
- Assist in training new cashiers and cross-train associates in cashiering
- Complete register open and close functions, cashier chat ins and chat outs, and associate exit inspections as directed by managers
