The role of Lead Cashier at Ulta Beauty is a pivotal position that blends customer service excellence with leadership responsibilities within the store’s cashier team. This full-time role requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about creating an exceptional guest experience and driving store performance through effective cashiering and team collaboration. As a Lead Cashier, you will oversee the efficiency and accuracy of all guest transactions at the cashwrap, ensuring that the area maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and aesthetic appeal. This role also involves training new cashiers and cross-training other associates, fostering a team-oriented environment where peers are motivated and supported. You will actively contribute to Ulta Beauty’s goals related to retail sales, guest loyalty, and operational compliance with a strong emphasis on delivering personalized guest interactions.

Beyond transaction management, the Lead Cashier plays a crucial part in enhancing loyalty program participation, including credit offerings, by positively influencing guests and associates alike. Responsibilities include assisting with register open and close procedures, performing associate exit inspections, and taking part in cashier chat ins and chat outs. You will be instrumental in promoting Ulta Beauty’s brand values by greeting and engaging guests, personalizing service, recommending products and services, and supporting the booking and success of in-store appointments and events. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong multitasking abilities, problem-solving skills, and a genuine passion for guest satisfaction.

The Lead Cashier position requires working a flexible schedule inclusive of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays and must be held by individuals 18 years of age or older. This role involves physical activity such as frequent bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, and continuous movement throughout the store. Job Requirements

  • Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience or equivalent
  • Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
  • Strong knowledge and passion for guest service
  • Experience in meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Proficient with Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
