The role of Lead Cashier at Ulta Beauty is a pivotal position focused on ensuring the efficiency and excellence of guest transactions at the cashwrap area. Job Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to frequently bend, pull, push, crouch, stoop, twist, and reach during shift
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Continuous mobility and coordination throughout the store
- High school diploma preferred
- 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent
- Proficient with point of sale technology and other basic tech
- Strong communication skills

- 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and selling
- Experience addressing guests' concerns and questions promptly and professionally
- Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- Proficient with basic technology including POS systems and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to react under pressure, use good judgment, and be adaptable
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store's goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty including credit, and retail shrink
- Ensure that each guest receives exceptional service by providing a guest-friendly environment which includes greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service to their needs, and recommending Ulta Beauty products and/or services
- Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
- Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events
- Maintain prompt, regular attendance
- Assist in the training of new cashiers and cross-training other associates in cashiering
- Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards including cash control and loss prevention
