The role of Lead Cashier (LC) at Ulta Beauty is pivotal to ensuring an efficient and exceptional guest transaction experience. This position blends customer service excellence with operational rigor, focusing not only on completing sales transactions but also on maintaining cashwrap standards including cleanliness, organization, and aesthetics. The Lead Cashier is an experienced cashier who supports the training and cross-training of cashiers and other associates, using leadership skills to influence peers positively and drive performance across sales, guest experience, and loyalty. The LC plays an essential role in promoting Ulta’s loyalty programs and credit services, contributing to store goals by engaging guests and associates alike.

Job Requirements

high school diploma preferred
minimum two years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
must be at least 18 years old

Job Duties

contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty, including credit, and retail shrink
ensure exceptional guest service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, and recommending products and services
handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously
pair guests with associates for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations
book appointments and support in-store events
maintain cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures
support leadership team with register open and close functions, associate exit inspections, and cashier chat in/outs
assist in training new cashiers and cross-training associates
drive accountability in delivering Ulta Beauty brand experience
ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards
maintain store cleanliness and asset protection
execute operational tasks as directed
