The Lead Cashier role at Ulta Beauty is essential for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of guest transactions while upholding the highest standards of service and operational excellence at the cash wrap area. This position requires a proactive, energetic individual who can lead by example and influence peers to maintain cleanliness, organize displays, and manage cash operations with precision. The Lead Cashier not only plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional customer experience but also assists in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates, promoting a collaborative team culture that prioritizes guest satisfaction.

Job Requirements

Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must be 18 years of age or older
Continuous mobility and ability to bend, pull, push, crouch, stoop, twist, and reach
Capable of lifting or moving up to 25 lbs
Able to follow company policies and dress code
Ability to adapt and react under pressure
Commitment to maintaining outstanding store standards and cleanliness

Job Qualifications

High school diploma preferred
Minimum 2 years relevant work experience preferred
Proven ability to delegate, multitask, and problem-solve
Experience in guest service and sales
Ability to handle guest concerns professionally
Experience training new hires
Proficient with Point of Sale systems and basic technology
Excellent communication skills
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Ability to build and maintain customer relationships

Job Duties

Contribute to meeting or exceeding store sales and loyalty goals
Ensure exceptional guest service by greeting and engaging guests and personalizing their experience
Handle sales transactions including refunds and exchanges courteously
Support makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to enhance guest experience
Book appointments and support in-store events to drive sales
Oversee the organization and maintenance of cashwrap displays and supplies
Assist with register open and close functions and perform cashier accountability duties
