The Lead Cashier at Ulta Beauty plays a crucial role in sustaining operational excellence at the cashwrap area, ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of guest transactions while delivering exceptional service. Job Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to frequently lift and move up to 25 lbs
- Continuous mobility including bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, crouching, and stooping
- Commitment to maintaining prompt and regular attendance
- Adherence to Ulta Beauty’s dress code and operational standards
- Ability to engage effectively with guests and team members
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Minimum of 2 years relevant cashiering or retail experience preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Demonstrated excellence in guest service and sales performance
- Experience in training new hires
- Proficient in using point-of-sale systems and Apple devices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Flexible and adaptable under pressure
Job Duties
- Ensure efficiency of guest transactions including sales, refunds, and exchanges
- Maintain cleanliness and aesthetics of cashwrap area
- Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training associates
- Engage guests by personalizing service and recommending products
- Promote and drive guest loyalty including credit and the Ulta Beauty app
- Support leadership with register open and close functions, cashier chat ins/outs, and associate exit inspections
- Adhere to company policies and procedures ensuring cash control and loss prevention
