The Food and Beverage Supervisor role at Drury Hotels offers an exciting opportunity to join the Kitchen+Bar team where you will play a pivotal part in maintaining high standards of service and hospitality. This position involves opening and closing the Kitchen+Bar in alignment with company policies and procedures while ensuring that both the food prep area and hotel bar remain clean, organized, and welcoming. In this role, you will be expected to interact positively with guests and team members, assisting with service needs and promoting an enjoyable atmosphere. This position requires a strong knowledge of the hotel's offerings, local area, and events to answer guest inquiries effectively. The F&B Supervisor will also assume responsibilities including bartending, cocktail preparation, and supporting other kitchen and bar operations as needed. Wages are set at $16 per hour plus tips, with additional incentives including a quarterly bonus potential of up to $800, career advancement opportunities, health insurance, earned time off, and a 401k match.

Job Requirements

  • must be 21 years old or older
  • one year experience bartending required
  • two or more years of bartender and supervisory experience preferred
  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • completion of two years of college preferred
  • ability to take written and verbal direction in English
  • ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks
  • perform duties of bartender, prep cook, and cocktail server or other roles as needed
  • ability to obtain and maintain all required certifications
  • ability to handle money, make change, and use office machines
  • ability to operate cash register, POS software, dishwashers, and kitchen equipment
  • ability to deal diplomatically with difficult guests and lead team members
  • ability to open and close bar and maintain supply levels
  • ability to distinguish currency denominations and make correct change

Job Qualifications

  • must be 21 years old or older
  • one year experience bartending required
  • two or more years of bartender and supervisory experience preferred
  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • completion of two years of college preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
  • ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to perform multiple roles including bartender, prep cook, and cocktail server
  • ability to obtain and maintain all appropriate certifications per company requirements
  • ability to handle money and use office machines
  • ability to operate relevant kitchen and bar equipment
  • ability to professionally manage difficult situations and people

Job Duties

  • open and close the hotel Kitchen+Bar following company policies and procedures
  • maintain the food prep and hotel bar area in a clean and well-organized manner
  • serve and assist guests while promoting a high standard of service and hospitality
  • answer guest questions with general knowledge of the hotel, local area, and events
  • perform duties of bartender, prep cook, and cocktail server as needed
  • obtain all supplies necessary for mixing cocktails
  • clean and maintain assigned areas
  • handle money transactions including making change and using office equipment
