Job Description

The hiring establishment is a vibrant casino environment known for its dynamic gaming and hospitality operations. This company places a strong emphasis on guest service, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering an energetic atmosphere where guests can enjoy gaming, dining, and entertainment experiences. As a leader in the hospitality industry, this casino prides itself on exceptional service and a welcoming environment for both guests and employees. The work environment is characterized by moderate to high noise levels, large crowds, and a fast-paced atmosphere that demands professionalism and adaptability from its team members.

The role of Lead Bartender is a pivotal position within the casino's bar operations. This position is designed not only to provide exceptional guest service but also to lead and support the bar team during shifts. As the lead, the individual is responsible for coordinating daily bar operations, ensuring quality and consistency in beverage preparation, and maintaining inventory and organization behind the bar. The Lead Bartender serves as a role model in professionalism, product knowledge, and guest service while fostering a welcoming, energetic, and fun atmosphere at all times.

This leadership role requires advanced knowledge of mixology, strong organizational and coaching skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. The Lead Bartender acts as the primary point of contact for Bartenders and Barbacks during their shift, providing guidance, coaching, and support to maintain smooth and efficient bar operations. Responsibilities also include onboarding and training new staff, monitoring compliance with responsible beverage service standards, and assisting management with operational improvements and emergency responses.

The Lead Bartender is also entrusted with critical operational duties, such as monitoring bar setup and closing procedures, maintaining inventory levels, reducing waste, and ensuring all recipes and portion controls are strictly followed. This role demands a commitment to safety and compliance, including health department regulations and financial controls related to cash handling and POS operation. The successful candidate must be able to remain calm under pressure, make sound decisions quickly, and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working as a Lead Bartender at this casino means being part of a team-oriented environment where collaboration with other departments, such as Cocktail Servers, Supervisors, and Security, is essential. The role also involves flexible scheduling, with evening, weekend, holiday, and occasional overtime shifts to meet the demands of the business. Additionally, adherence to professional appearance standards and obtaining a Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification within 60 days of employment are mandatory.

In summary, this Lead Bartender position offers an exciting opportunity to grow leadership skills in a fast-paced, high-volume bar setting within a casino hospitality environment. The role is fundamental to delivering an outstanding guest experience while supporting and developing the bar team and ensuring all operational standards are met consistently.
