The Lead Bartender role at Commodore Perry Estate is a crucial position that exemplifies expertise in mixology and guest service. The Lead Bartender acts as a mentor and role model for the bar staff, ensuring the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and operational efficiency behind the bar. This role demands advanced knowledge of beverages, including beer, wine, spirits, and the art of craft cocktail creation. This position involves a combination of front-of-house and back-of-house responsibilities, such as setting up and breaking down bar stations, managing inventory, producing house-made syrups and garnishes, and overseeing the accurate processing of drink orders and guest checks through the point-of-sale system. Beyond daily operations, the Lead Bartender plays an integral role in staff development by providing ongoing training and coaching to bartenders, promoting skill advancement, and fostering a culture of excellence.

Job Requirements
- minimum 5 years of experience as a bartender with 2 years in fine dining or luxury resort settings
- professional appearance and good character
- ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- hospitality certificate or degree desirable
- ability to obtain relevant certifications such as food handlers or alcohol training
- wine certification such as court of master sommeliers or wset desirable
- cicerone and tips certification highly preferred
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- set up and break down workstations ensuring the bar is fully stocked daily
- produce house-made items including syrups garnishes and batch cocktails
- contribute to improving food and beverage sales by being knowledgeable about drinks and menu items
- accurately take and place orders input them into the system and prepare guest checks
- mentor and provide ongoing training and coaching to bartenders on drink recipes techniques and efficient prep management
- oversee bartenders to ensure proper guest service standards and mentorship
- develop seasonal cocktails aligned with current trends and market demands
- stay informed about local distillery winery and brewery offerings
- introduce new technology and hospitality innovations to improve guest experience
