Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Previous experience in an upscale dining and/or bar atmosphere preferred
  • Relevant training certificate preferred such as TIPS, ServeSafe, etc

  • Relevant training certificate preferred such as TIPS, ServeSafe, etc
  • Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
  • Superior knowledge of classic cocktails
  • Knowledge of pour-cost control
  • Knowledge of upselling techniques
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and perform multiple functions at a time
  • Ability to be flexible with shift availability and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Develop specialty cocktail programs for all of food and beverage
  • Train the staff on the proper way to mix cocktails and provide ongoing support
  • Oversee the overall quality control of all cocktail recipes
  • Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
  • Interact with bar customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
  • Assess customers' needs, as well as preferences, and make recommendations
  • Check customers' identification and confirm they meet legal drinking age
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • Check in with customers to ensure overall satisfaction
  • Receive and replenish bar inventory and supplies, as needed
  • Participate in monthly inventory, as needed, and determine adequate par levels
  • Embody a strong and efficient work ethic, including, but not limited to ensuring the cleanliness of all bar and guest areas, polishing chinaware (e.g. glassware, plate-ware, silverware), etc
  • Complete opening/closing duties, follow standards in place, as well as filling out prep/checklist
  • Adhere to all cash handling policies with the ability to perform credit card charges and provide guests with accurate bills by ringing in all orders accurately at the time of the sale
  • Comply with all federal, state and local food and beverage laws and regulations
