Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • TIPS or equivalent beverage certification
  • experience in beverage service or bartending
  • ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to multitask efficiently during busy hours
  • knowledge of beverage products including fine wines, liquors, beers, and sake
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • self-motivated and proactive in improving operations.

Job Duties

  • Maintains beverage staffing levels to provide optimal performance
  • establishes and ensures adherence to departmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • supervises all aspects of service, inventory control, and product selection
  • frequently interacts with guests to ensure satisfaction
  • reviews and submits storeroom requisitions, managing operational costs within budget
  • sets appropriate par levels for inventories to avoid shortages or excess
  • ensures security and proper use of operating supplies and equipment
  • attends hotel meetings to stay informed of activities and promotions
  • communicates daily with outlet managers about current events and functions
  • trains personnel to maintain superior performance levels
  • follows new hire training and ongoing competency programs
  • evaluates guest needs and recommends product or service changes
  • maintains beverage menu
  • promotes teamwork
  • handles emergency procedures
  • complies with safety regulations
  • maintains equipment cleanliness
  • adheres to hotel policies and uniform standards
  • recycles whenever possible
  • remains current with hotel information
  • performs other duties as assigned.
