Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of barista experience preferred
- Obtain Starbucks Lead Barista Certification within 90 days if hired as a Starbucks barista
- Ability to operate cash registers and handle electronic payments
- Attend safety and foodborne illness training
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as moving supplies
- Compliance with company safety and risk management policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- Two years of barista experience preferred
- Ability to obtain Starbucks Lead Barista Certification within 90 days of employment
- Strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures
Job Duties
- Greet customers and take orders
- Mix and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, and fruit blend drinks
- Oversee opening and closing procedures of the retail food service area
- Maintain attractive displays of coffee bar supplies and cups
- Clean coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation spaces
- Operate cash registers and handle cash and credit transactions
- Attend safety meetings and participate in allergy and foodborne illness training
