Job Description

REV Collective is an exciting new cafe and drive-thru concept set to open early this fall in Meridian, Idaho, at the strategic corner of Eagle and Overland. This innovative establishment is passionately dedicated to serving exceptional coffee and real food, deeply rooted in creating meaningful connections within the Treasure Valley community. What sets REV Collective apart is its commitment to sourcing local goods from trusted producers, emphasizing quality and community values. The cafe space itself has been fully renovated with the community's needs and comfort in mind, making it a welcoming destination beyond the usual coffee stop.

As an independent, owner-operated business, REV Collective stands out from franchise-run establishments by fostering a sense of ownership, pride, and a desire to build something unique from the ground up. The organization takes great care in every detail, from carefully selecting coffee beans to designing the drink menu and establishing standards that prioritize quality, hospitality, and integrity.

The role available at REV Collective is not an ordinary barista position with a fancy title. Instead, it is a pivotal founding team role designed for a passionate coffee professional ready to build and lead the coffee program from scratch. This individual will have the exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with the two owners during the critical pre-opening phase. Duties will include finalizing the coffee and beverage menu, including the creation of seasonal and signature drinks that will define the REV experience for years to come.

This role demands someone who is not only an expert in espresso fundamentals but also a natural leader who can develop and maintain high training standards, manage the barista team, and ensure consistent quality across the board. The person in this position will be responsible for maintaining and operating high-end coffee equipment, including the first La Marzocco KB90 in Idaho, Mahlk nig grinders, and Fetco batch brewers. Attention to detail, a deep love for coffee, and a desire to build a welcoming and efficient bar culture that fosters genuine connections with customers are key aspects of this role.

This opportunity extends beyond day-to-day operations by involving the individual in shaping the overall coffee culture and brand identity of REV Collective. Candidates who have an interest in social media and enjoy being part of how the brand presents itself online will find an added avenue to contribute. The company culture values quality, community engagement, integrity, and health-consciousness in its products, making this a workplace grounded in real principles, not just corporate jargon.

For coffee professionals looking to be part of a ground-floor opportunity with direct influence on program development, REV Collective offers a unique and rewarding environment. The compensation is competitive and dependent on experience, reflecting the high standards and expectations of this owner-operated startup. This is a full-time role requiring availability during early mornings, weekends, and the essential pre-opening buildout period. Joining REV Collective means stepping into a role where your passion, expertise, and leadership will significantly impact the growth and success of a promising new concept in the Meridian market.
