Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4+ years of relevant experience with high school diploma or some experience with bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in hospital food service preferred
  • Strong hospitality service environment experience
  • Certified Food Protection Manager Certificate required within 30 days of employment
  • Certified Starbucks Barista with Barista Trainer Certification
  • Completion of coffee academy program within 6 months
  • Ability to work under supervision with minimal guidance
  • Physical ability to perform job tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to comply with safety and health regulations
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Willingness to work Monday through Friday 6:45 am to 3:15 pm

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field such as hospitality management
  • Strong experience in hospital food service environment preferred
  • Experience in hospitality service monitoring and managing related activities
  • Certified Food Protection Manager certificate through approved ANSI program
  • Certified Starbucks Barista with Barista Trainer Certification
  • Completion of coffee academy program within six months
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food service regulations and standards
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor team members

Job Duties

  • Assume leadership role in absence of management to complete daily tasks such as schedule alterations, product orders, cleaning assignments, and opening or closing procedures
  • Ensure deliveries are accepted and stored according to departmental requirements
  • Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
  • Supervise cleanliness throughout the work area and maintain and update accurate records
  • Understand and use relevant food services procedures and processes to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Train and guide team members around complex activities and address escalations or deviations
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet departmental goals
