Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of relevant food service experience
  • CRT-ServSafe Manager certification
  • CRT-ServSafe Allergen certification
  • Availability to work Monday to Sunday with every other weekend
  • Ability to work shifts of 8.5 hours between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
  • Ability to maintain personal hygiene and sanitation standards
  • Willingness to train new staff and lead orientation
  • Compliance with Corewell Health vaccination and workplace policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of relevant food service experience, preferably in health care setting or related field
  • CRT-ServSafe Manager certification from National Restaurant Association within 90 days
  • CRT-ServSafe Allergen certification from National Restaurant Association within 90 days
  • Associate's degree in hospitality or nutrition preferred
  • 1 year of relevant leadership experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Maintain correct sanitation and personal hygiene procedures throughout assigned areas
  • Complete assigned quality assurance monitors
  • Apply reasonable judgment to the interpretation of hospital and departmental policies and procedures
  • Oversee day-end cash out and daily deposits
  • Make cash register program changes, when applicable
  • Ensure proper preparation and service of meals
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and dating of food items
  • Train new staff members
  • Lead new hire department orientation or perform other technical tasks within area of responsibility
