The Production Lead role at the Aspire Bakeries Swedesboro, NJ location is a vital position responsible for overseeing and guiding the production and packing teams to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations. This role demands close attention to meeting daily production schedules, maintaining high-quality standards, and fulfilling all reporting and documentation requirements. The Production Lead is expected to take an active part in operational duties including equipment operation, training team members, and maintaining communication across multiple departments such as Quality, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Shipping & Receiving. This position operates on a 2nd shift schedule with rotating shifts as needed and requires weekend availability. The compensation for this role ranges from $25.00 to $26.25 per hour, reflecting both the responsibility and the skill required. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment
  • demonstrated ability to lead, assign, and coordinate team members
  • working knowledge of production equipment and processes
  • ability to accurately complete production documentation and system data entry
  • strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • ability to work rotating shifts, extended hours, and weekends as required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment
  • demonstrated ability to lead, assign, and coordinate team members
  • working knowledge of production equipment and processes
  • ability to accurately complete production documentation and system data entry

  • ability to work rotating shifts, extended hours, and weekends as required
  • prior lead or supervisory experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment
  • experience working with SAP or similar production reporting systems
  • knowledge of food safety, quality, and sanitation standards
  • experience training or cross-training production employees
  • proven ability to improve efficiency and productivity in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and direct production and packing team activities to meet daily production schedules
  • perform operator duties while providing break and lunch coverage as needed
  • train, cross-train, and support team members in equipment operation and setup
  • ensure accurate and timely production reporting, downtime tracking, and SAP data entry
  • communicate and collaborate with Quality, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Shipping & Receiving teams
  • maintain food safety, quality, legality, and housekeeping standards in assigned areas
  • provide supervisory coverage, performance feedback, and issue resolution in the Supervisor's absence
