Job Description

DiBella's is a renowned and beloved restaurant chain dedicated to delivering the freshest and most authentic Italian bread and dining experiences to its loyal customers. Established with a passion for quality bread, DiBella's has built its reputation on the cornerstone of its signature fresh, crispy Italian bread that not only complements their menu but defines the brand's very essence. The company operates a network of stores where fresh bread is baked daily, ensuring that every guest receives the comforting taste of homemade bread that evokes memories of home and tradition. As a key player in the restaurant industry, DiBella's prioritizes quality, tradition, and customer satisfaction, making it a thriving establishment that values consistency and dedication among its workforce.

The Lead Baker position at DiBella's is a pivotal role that directly impacts the brand’s integrity and the quality of its product. This full-time role requires the candidate to begin their day early, with exact start times varying depending on location and operational needs. Punctuality and dependable transportation are essential qualities for this position, as the bread baking process is time-sensitive and critical to daily operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate a ''can do'' attitude and a strong sense of responsibility for producing bread according to DiBella's specific methods outlined in their Bread Manual. Beyond baking, the Lead Baker also engages in providing exceptional customer service, interacting with guests and ensuring a positive atmosphere in the store while managing a variety of bakery and food preparation tasks.

This role offers competitive weekly pay, ranging from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, as well as weekly tip payments. It is structured as a five-day work week from Monday through Friday, providing a balanced work-life schedule. Full-time employees are eligible for paid vacation within the first year and health benefits that support their well-being. Additional perks include free meals during shifts, off-duty meal discounts, and the unique advantage of never having to work with fryers, making the work environment more pleasant for those averse to fryer-related odors.

The Lead Baker is responsible not only for maintaining bread quality but also for ensuring cleanliness and organization within the bakery. This includes keeping the bakery equipment in top condition and reporting any deficiencies promptly. The role requires strict adherence to safety and health standards, compliance with Health Department regulations, and a proactive approach to learning and expanding product knowledge over time. The Lead Baker must also support the deli operations by preparing and serving food items according to set guidelines, setting up deli counters, and maintaining sanitary conditions in all customer-viewed and food storage areas.

Joining DiBella's means becoming part of a team that values craftsmanship, quality, and hospitality. If you have the passion for baking and customer service, and you seek a stable and rewarding career in a company that strongly values its employees and its customers, the Lead Baker position at DiBella's is an excellent opportunity. Apply now to contribute to the tradition of baking bread the DiBella's way and to help create memorable dining experiences for every guest who walks through the doors.
