The role described is primarily focused on providing outstanding guest service within Caesars’ food and beverage operations. This position involves direct interaction with guests and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner, taking food and beverage orders, processing payments via various methods, delivering orders, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area. The employee will be responsible for monitoring and replenishing food stations, ensuring food safety by following proper storage and temperature guidelines, and keeping all equipment in working order. Partners with the culinary team to ensure smooth coordination during shifts, contributing to an efficient workflow and guest satisfaction.

Safety and sanitation are paramount in this role, with expectations to strictly adhere to state and company sanitation standards, including ServSafe requirements. The job demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand for entire shifts, lift moderate weights, tolerate high temperatures, and work in environments with noise, bright lights, and secondhand smoke. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, practical communication skills in English, and a proactive attitude toward teamwork and guest service excellence.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months experience in food or customer service field with cash handling preferred
  • able to be on feet for entire shift
  • physically mobile with ability to lift up to 50 lbs and tolerate high temperatures
  • able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues
  • able to tolerate areas with second hand smoke, high noise levels, and bright lights

Job Qualifications

  • 6 months experience in food or customer service field with cash handling preferred
  • possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • good oral and written communication skills
  • fluent and literate in English
  • able to be on feet for entire shift
  • physically mobile with ability to lift up to 50 lbs and tolerate high temperatures
  • able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues
  • able to tolerate areas with second hand smoke, high noise levels, and bright lights

Job Duties

  • Interact with guests and co-workers in a helpful, positive, upbeat, and professional manner while taking food and beverage orders
  • accept payment through cash, credit, check, and comps
  • deliver orders to guests
  • buss and clean dining area
  • monitor and replenish all food products in work area by stocking counters and displays in a neat, accurate and timely fashion
  • ensure work area is clean, neat, and sanitized throughout shift by wiping counters, beverage stations, sinks, and floors
  • ensure rotation and quality of product for appearance and safe holding temperature and proper storage of prepared foods
  • partner with culinary team to coordinate workflow during shift to meet business demands and ensure customer satisfaction
  • maintain all equipment such as cappuccino machine and micros station
  • meet or exceed State of Iowa and Harrah's sanitation requirements (ServSafe)
  • adhere to regulatory, safety, departmental, and company policies
  • support safety and accident prevention programs
  • present oneself as a credit to the company and encourage others to do the same
  • perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned
