This versatility allows the company to swiftly adapt to the fast-moving demands of the modern supply chain, ensuring timely and secure delivery of goods across a wide geographic footprint. Ameriflight's fleet of turboprop aircraft and experienced workforce underpin its operational success, making it a trusted partner in regional cargo aviation.
The Lead A&P Technician role at Ameriflight is a critical position within the maintenance department. This hands-on role involves working with a diverse fleet of turboprop aircraft in a fast-paced Part 135 operational environment. The Lead A&P Technician is responsible not only for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance but also for ensuring the highest standards of safety, airworthiness, and regulatory compliance are continually met. This position serves as a technical leader and a point of escalation for complex maintenance issues, requiring both advanced mechanical skills and leadership capabilities.
This role requires the technician to be well-versed in FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company procedures. The Lead A&P Technician performs detailed inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance tasks on aircraft and their components, maintaining meticulous maintenance records. Coordination with operational teams on aircraft status and return-to-service is essential, as is maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant work environment. Ameriflight values technicians who bring leadership experience and can foster teamwork while driving operational excellence.
The company offers competitive pay ranging from $28.50 to $40.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and shift schedules. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, company-paid life insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, and paid vacation and sick leave. Ameriflight supports career growth through clear advancement opportunities. The work environment may include outdoor duties in various weather conditions as well as working near moving aircraft and machinery, requiring adherence to strict Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.
Ameriflight prides itself on being an Equal Opportunity Employer, making employment decisions based solely on merit, qualifications, and business needs. They welcome applicants who meet the requirements and qualifications to contribute to a safe, dynamic, and rewarding work environment.
