The role of Lead Cleaner at ABM is a vital leadership position responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of cleaners to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency within assigned buildings. This position is ideal for individuals entering or returning to the workforce, with limited formal education but a strong commitment to teamwork and leadership. The Lead Cleaner earns between $22.00 and $25.00 per hour, with specific pay dependent on experience, skills, location, and market alignment. As a Lead Cleaner, you will provide direct leadership, motivation, and guidance to your cleaning team, ensuring that all tasks are completed to specification and on schedule. You will act as a crucial communication link between the cleaning staff, clients, customers, and management. Your responsibilities include relaying information effectively, reporting performance issues, assisting with the training of new team members, coordinating and assigning work, and helping to develop daily and weekly schedules. This role also requires you to oversee physical cleaning operations and ensure that the premises are secure and well-maintained. Additional duties include managing security for property keys and access cards, reporting maintenance needs, facilitating snow removal and salting when necessary, and checking supplies and equipment to maintain operational readiness.

The Lead Cleaner will play an essential role in upholding ABM's standards of quality and safety, demonstrating strong organizational and customer service skills along with the capacity to work collaboratively with management and staff. Candidates with bilingual skills in English and Spanish and those with prior experience in floor tech and lead cleaner roles are especially valued.
