Job Description

LKQ Corporation is a leading provider of alternative and specialty parts to repair and accessorize automobiles and other vehicles. With a robust distribution network and a broad portfolio of products, LKQ serves a wide range of customers including collision, mechanical, and insurance sectors. As a reputable company committed to excellence and innovation, LKQ fosters a dynamic and supportive work environment that values growth, teamwork, and career development. Known for its commitment to employee well-being and industry-leading benefits, LKQ offers competitive pay and comprehensive support to help its workforce thrive.

The role being offered is a Warehouse Team Leader position that provides an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals eager to advance their careers in warehouse operations. Earning $23 per hour plus a great benefits package, this role involves overseeing daily warehouse operations, supporting supervisors, coaching team members, and ensuring clear communication between staff and management. The Warehouse Team Leader plays a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency, safety, and productivity, making it a key part of the LKQ team.

In this position, you will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating daily team assignments, ensuring quality control and top productivity among your team. Your duties will include leading the storage and handling of incoming and outgoing production materials, overseeing cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy, and enforcing safety standards to create a hazard-free workplace. Training new team members and assisting workers in resolving operational challenges will also be integral to your role.

Additionally, you will supervise all warehouse activities such as truck loading and unloading, moving and maintaining bin locations, restocking inventory, and verifying inventory for sales staff to support seamless operations. Effective problem-solving and adapting work procedures to meet deadlines will be part of your routine. While the Warehouse Team Leader leads the work of others and prioritizes and schedules tasks, this role does not include responsibilities such as hiring, termination, or performance reviews.

This position requires physical stamina and the ability to perform various physical tasks including lifting up to 75 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Employees must be comfortable working in cramped spaces and potentially hazardous environments while wearing required personal protective equipment. The work schedule is Sunday through Thursday, reflecting the operational needs of LKQ’s logistics and warehouse teams.

This role is ideal for individuals who have at least five years of related experience, possess a high school diploma or GED, and preferably have forklift certification as well as bilingual skills in English and Spanish. Proficiency with computer applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential, along with strong math skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.

By joining LKQ, you become part of a forward-thinking company that values employee growth and offers a range of benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid parental leave, fertility coverage, a 401k plan with a generous company match, company-paid life and long-term disability insurance, short-term disability, an employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement, employee discounts, and a PNC daily pay option. LKQ is committed to providing a rewarding career journey in a positive and driven work culture.
