Located in a serene and welcoming environment, Live Oak Retirement Community emphasizes compassionate care, ensuring a comfortable and safe atmosphere for all its residents. The community offers a range of amenities and professional staff support to assist with the daily living needs of its residents. As an organization, Live Oak prioritizes the well-being of its staff and residents through continuous training, supportive infrastructure, and adherence to strict safety and hygiene standards.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Environmental Technician/Laundry Attendant who will play a critical role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout our facility. The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of experience in laundry services as well as custodial work within hospital or healthcare settings. This position involves daily cleaning and replenishment of supplies in resident rooms, wards, nursing stations, lounges, laboratories, bathrooms, offices, and other assigned areas to ensure optimal sanitary conditions. The Environmental Technician/Laundry Attendant uses various cleaning equipment such as 16oz wet mops, wringers, dusters, and vacuum cleaners, alongside cleaning chemicals and commercial laundry washers and dryers.
The role requires physical stamina and the ability to exert force periodically, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and standing for 90% of the shift duration. Shift schedules may vary and include weekends and some evening work, reflecting the operational needs of the community. The selected individual will participate in hospital and departmental orientation programs upon hire, preparing them to adhere to facility-specific policies and working standards effectively. This job is vital for maintaining the overall cleanliness and health standards that our residents depend upon, making it an essential component of our community’s care framework.
