Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years laundry experience
- Minimum of 2 years custodial experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to stand for 90% of the time during shifts
- Ability to exert 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and evenings
- Completion of hospital and departmental orientation upon hire
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years laundry experience
- Minimum of 2 years custodial experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Good communication skills
Job Duties
- Clean and supply resident rooms, wards, nursing stations, lounges, laboratories, bathrooms, offices, and other assigned areas
- Use cleaning devices including 16oz wet mops, wringers, dusters, vacuum cleaners, and cleaning chemicals
- Operate commercial washers and dryers to handle laundry duties
- Lift and move laundry and supplies with the ability to exert up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Stand for 90% of the working shift
- Attend hospital and departmental orientation programs
- Work varied shifts including weekends and evenings as required
