The Laundry Porter role at Four Seasons represents an essential part of the hotel’s daily operations, specifically within the housekeeping department. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and fabric care. The Laundry Porter is responsible for processing all types of linens—including pillowcases, napkins, sheets, tablecloths, and towels—to meet exacting standards through various pressing, folding, and cleaning tasks. Additionally, this role supports the housekeeping management team by assisting in stock management of guest supplies and cleaning chemicals, as well as temporarily covering duties in the Uniform Room Attendant area during peak periods or absences. Job Duties
- operate, wax and clean the flat iron press
- shake all linens including pillowcases, napkins, sheets and tablecloths and feed through flat iron press
- collect/catch pressed linens when folded
- add an additional fold, if required
- place all folded linen in cart
- operate and clean towel press machine
- feed all towels through and collect/catch once pressed
- add an additional fold, if required
- place all folded towels in cart
- identify and separate any stained or torn linens, including pillowcases, napkins, sheets and tablecloths
- assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of uniform room attendant
- assist housekeeping management with weekly stock takes of guest supplies, cleaning supplies and chemicals needed for the cleaning of front and back of house areas
