As a Laundry Attendant at Concord Hospitality, you play a vital role as one of the "Heart of the House" associates. This position is essential in maintaining the cleanliness, freshness, and overall sparkling condition of the hotel, ensuring that guests enjoy a welcoming and pristine environment every day. Your responsibilities will include operating and monitoring washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps to keep all equipment functioning efficiently. You will also be responsible for identifying stained or damaged items, determining the appropriate action such as repair or rewash, and ensuring items are thoroughly inspected for cleanliness before being placed in clean linen carts.

The role requires setting dryers to specific times and temperatures based on fabric type, removing lint and debris from dryer screens and filters, and folding cleaned articles either by hand or with folding machines to designated sizes. Accurate record-keeping of laundered items is important to maintain inventory and ensure operational efficiency. This position demands strong attention to detail, physical capability to operate machinery and handle supplies, and the flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps
  • identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard
  • inspect cleanliness of articles removed from washers, dryers, or dry cleaning machines and place them in clean linen carts
  • set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in each load
  • remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load
  • fold cleaned articles into designated sizes, either by hand or using folding machines
  • maintain accurate records of items laundered
