- prior relevant experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred
- ability to operate laundry equipment
- physical capability to move and transport heavy objects
- ability to stand and move for extended periods
- adherence to safety procedures
- good communication skills

Job Duties
- Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps
- identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard
- inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry-cleaning machines and place in clean linen carts
- fold cleaned articles into designated size, either by hand or using folding machine
- maintain accurate records of items laundered
- move and transport objects weighing up to and over 40 pounds with assistance
- follow hazardous material management procedures including using Safety Data Sheets
