Job Requirements
- Prior laundry experience preferred
- Ability to operate and monitor washing and drying machines
- Capable of identifying stains and damaged linens
- Physical ability to move, lift, and handle laundry items
- Ability to follow safety and security protocols
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and quality standards
Job Qualifications
- No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
- No prior related work experience necessary
- Ability to operate laundry machinery
- Basic understanding of fabric types and laundry chemicals
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
- Physical capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 25 pounds
- Willingness to adhere to safety policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery
- Add chemicals and clean lint traps
- Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard
- Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from machines and place in clean linen carts
- Set dryers to appropriate times and temperatures based on fabric types
- Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, filters, and drain traps after each use
- Fold cleaned articles manually or using a folding machine
- Maintain accurate records of laundered items
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
- Participate in safety training and certifications
- Maintain professional appearance and comply with company policies
- Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality
- Develop positive working relationships and support team goals
- Identify and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings
- Perform visual inspections of tools and equipment
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisors
