Job Description
Century Park Associates is a dedicated healthcare organization specializing in providing a nurturing and supportive living environment for senior residents. With a strong commitment to enriching the lifestyle of our residents, Century Park Associates places a high value on trust, leadership, and personal ethics. Established to serve with compassion and professionalism, our organization ensures that every associate embraces a "people come first" philosophy, promoting an organizational culture rooted in respect, excellence, and outstanding service. We provide our team members with a rewarding work environment where personal and professional growth thrive alongside a commitment to resident care and satisfaction.
The Laundry Aide role at Century Park Associates is essential to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and comfort our residents expect. This full-time position focuses on delivering day-to-day laundry services to ensure residents' linens and personal laundry needs are met efficiently and in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards. Reporting directly to the Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor, the Laundry Aide plays a crucial role in supporting the overall housekeeping functions within our post-acute care facility. This position requires individuals who not only possess strong laundry skills but also demonstrate a passion for serving seniors through excellent customer service and a courteous attitude.
The Laundry Aide's responsibilities encompass the complete laundry process, including collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing bed and bath linens. The role also requires stain treatment and maintaining the laundry area by cleaning dryer filters and ensuring laundry carts and supplies are always in optimal condition. Beyond handling linens, the Laundry Aide is entrusted with laundering residents’ personal laundry using personal machines and pressing garments when requested. Attention to detail is critical, as labeling residents' laundry and linens accurately prevents mix-ups and supports residents’ comfort.
In addition to these hands-on tasks, the Laundry Aide is expected to communicate any supply shortages, equipment needs, found items, or unusual resident behaviors to the supervisor promptly. This proactive approach is vital to upholding the facility’s safety, hygiene, and care standards. The role also demands adherence to privacy regulations and maintaining confidentiality concerning all proprietary and sensitive information encountered in the workplace. Employees must follow company policies strictly, including harassment and compliance procedures, while demonstrating integrity and professionalism according to Century Park’s Code of Ethics.
Working as a Laundry Aide at Century Park Associates means joining a team that values cooperation, respect, and genuine care for seniors. Ideal candidates should enjoy interacting with elderly residents and show a genuine commitment to customer service and hospitality within a healthcare setting. The ability to make independent decisions and perform all required competencies in housekeeping and patient rights, safety, and sanitation sets successful team members apart. This position is not merely about performing laundry duties but about contributing to an atmosphere where residents can continue to grow, learn, and live with dignity and comfort.
