This specific opportunity is at the Candlewood Suites Hotel managed by Pyramid Hotel Group, owned by Michigan State University. The hotel comprises 128 suites and is uniquely positioned adjacent to MSU's 96,000-square-foot Executive Education Center. Guests enjoy exclusive access to amenities including the University Club dining facilities, health club, daycare, recreational facilities, and a scenic 18-hole championship golf course owned by MSU. The role in focus is for a Laundry Attendant who holds a vital position within the housekeeping team. Known as the Heart of the House, the Laundry Attendant is essential in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and care for guest linens and towels, directly impacting guest satisfaction and loyalty. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks associated with laundry and housekeeping duties
- Basic knowledge of laundry processes and equipment operation
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow safety and hygiene standards
- Prior housekeeping or laundry experience is a plus

Job Duties
- Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well
- Work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort hotel cleanliness
- Laundry duties as required including washing drying ironing and folding of all SPI guest rooms linen as well as restaurant catering linens
- Keep laundry area common areas of the property clean and organized
- Daily cleaning of housekeeping and maintenance staff restrooms
- Understand the proper utilization of equipment and chemicals and knowledge of appropriate safety procedures
- Assist houseman and housekeepers as necessary
- Help maintain a safe work environment
- Always respond in a friendly helpful manner to other team members
