Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience working in a restaurant or customer service role preferred
- ability to stand for long periods without breaks during peak hours
- excellent mobility and flexibility to perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, and carrying trays
- capacity to lift and carry up to 20 pounds over distances of up to 30 feet
- must meet all state, county, or municipal health and safety regulations related to food handling
- availability to work late night shifts from 10pm to 6am with varying hours
- must complete company training programs and comply with Denny's nondiscrimination policies
Job Qualifications
- Above standard verbal and written communication skills
- guest-oriented personality with a helpful and friendly attitude
- good physical condition suitable for extensive walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds
- basic math skills for handling orders and payments
- knowledge of and compliance with health and food safety regulations
- completion of all required training including anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies
- ability to operate a cash register accurately
- strong teamwork and customer service focus
Job Duties
- Greets and seats customers promptly and courteously
- records orders accurately and efficiently
- applies suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- delivers food orders to tables and removes dishes and trays in a timely manner
- communicates guest complaints and safety hazards immediately to management
- completes all assigned side-work and adheres to company standards regarding sanitation and stocking
- maintains a professional and friendly demeanor consistent with Denny's values
