Job Description
The Kalispel Tribe of Indians offers a distinguished Spa Concierge position within its upscale Spa facility located at Northern Quest Resort and Casino. The Kalispel Tribe of Indians is a federally recognized tribal government known for its commitment to providing excellent services and environments that honor tribal heritage and promote economic development. Northern Quest Resort and Casino is a prominent entertainment destination that blends luxury accommodations, gaming, dining, and wellness offerings including a tranquil spa experience designed to cater to a diverse clientele seeking relaxation, rejuvenation, and exceptional hospitality.
This Spa Concierge role is a pivotal part of the customer experience at the Spa, tasked with creating warm, welcoming guest interactions and ensuring seamless service delivery throughout each visit. The position is responsible for greeting guests, intelligently scheduling individual and group spa services using specialized reservations software, and effectively upselling and promoting spa products and services to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue. The Spa Concierge also manages retail sales, provides insightful answers regarding services and products, and handles cash and credit card transactions with accuracy and security.
Working closely with treatment providers, the Spa Concierge ensures that providers are kept aware of guest arrivals and that schedules for the day are communicated with precision and clarity. The role demands a proactive approach to guest needs, maintaining a calm and courteous demeanor even when addressing complaints or managing complex requests. Additionally, the Spa Concierge supports operational excellence by adhering strictly to internal controls, safety protocols, and company policies. This includes responsibilities such as ensuring the security of cash banks and keys, maintaining cleanliness and order at workstations, and participating in ongoing training sessions to stay current with all spa services and products.
The ideal candidate for this role is experienced in upscale retail environments such as three-diamond spas, cosmetic boutiques, or similar luxury service settings, requiring three or more years of retail experience. Excellent guest service, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential alongside proficiency with computers, including reservations software, point of sale systems, and Microsoft Office applications. The individual must be capable of multitasking efficiently between front desk operations, resolving operational issues, and supporting staff needs. Additionally, the role requires completion of mandatory certifications and permits including Alcohol Server Training (MAST), possession of a Washington State Food Worker Card, and Hepatitis A and B vaccinations.
Physically, the role involves standing for extended periods, handling light lifting up to 20 pounds, and performing repetitive wrist and hand movements. The work environment is primarily indoors with occasional exposure to outside elements. The Kalispel Tribe values regular attendance and a flexible schedule to accommodate the cyclical nature of the spa industry. While this position has no supervisory responsibilities, it is integral to fostering a positive, seamless, and high-quality spa experience for every guest, making it a rewarding opportunity for those passionate about spa hospitality and guest services. Employment is at-will and subject to standard background and drug testing requirements, with an emphasis on compliance and the maintenance of a drug-free workplace environment.
