Walmart is currently hiring Landscape Technicians and Landscape Crew Driver Technicians to join their dedicated Landscaping team. The position involves hands-on work in outdoor environments, making sure landscapes are attractive, clean, and well-maintained throughout the seasons. The work includes mowing lawns, irrigation system maintenance, power washing, snow removal, pruning, fertilizing shrubs, lawns, bushes, trees, and flowers. As a Landscaping Technician, your responsibilities will extend beyond routine maintenance to managing and executing large-scale facility maintenance projects. This includes snow removal and equipment servicing as necessary. The role requires planning work assignments effectively, coordinating resources, overseeing third-party service providers, and ensuring strict compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The technician serves as a key liaison to maintain strong stakeholder relationships, supporting Walmart’s operational goals through emphasis on quality, cost control, and continuous improvement. For those applying to be Landscape Crew Driver Technicians, additional responsibilities include operating combination motor vehicles between 10,001 lbs and 26,000 lbs safely and legally. This role demands a valid driver’s license or certification and adherence to stringent motor vehicle regulations including passing road tests and maintaining a clean driving record. The crew driver technician will also share accountability for general landscaping responsibilities and work alongside team members to complete site maintenance projects.

Job Requirements

  • 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in commercial facility repair, maintenance, and landscaping operations including mowing, herbicide application, and mulch installation or related field
  • Comfortable with physical labor and working outdoors in a variety of conditions
  • For Landscape Crew Driver Technician roles, 21 years of age or older and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record and ability to pass a motor vehicle record report
  • Successfully complete and pass a driver’s road test for the combination truck and trailer operated within the scope of work
  • Must be able to obtain appropriate licensing and or endorsements for operating state, if required
