This position is for a Landscaping Laborer who will perform essential landscaping maintenance duties on commercial property contracts. The role involves operating various landscaping equipment safely and efficiently, including gas mowers, line trimmers, backpack blowers, rakes, and hula hoes. The laborer will be responsible for tasks such as mowing lawns, edging borders, raking leaves, pruning shrubbery, weeding flower beds, and clearing debris from outdoor areas. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with crew supervisors to meet contract deadlines, reporting broken equipment or material shortages, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

The Landscaping Laborer must also demonstrate consistent reliability, good attendance, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. They need to follow safety procedures diligently, ensure quality standards are consistently met, and uphold ethical conduct and company values while on the job. Attention to detail and physical endurance are crucial since the role requires maneuvering heavy tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in diverse weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, or humid environments.

Employees are expected to engage in multi-limb coordination tasks and maintain steady arm-hand movements to operate machinery and perform precision work, like trimming grass in straight lines or raking debris without breaks for extended periods. The job requires good communication skills for effective instructions following and time recording, as well as the ability to pass a Department of Social and Health Services background check as part of AtWork!’s employment policies.
