The current opportunity is for the role of a bartender, a vital position that involves preparing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner within a bar setting. This role is essential to the overall guest experience as it combines bartending expertise with excellent customer service skills to ensure guests enjoy their visit. Bartenders at Levy are responsible for adhering strictly to state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations, ensuring the responsible service of alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests, a key aspect of maintaining safety and compliance. The role demands a high level of organization and attention to detail, from setting up bars and managing inventory to preparing garnishes and mixing drinks following standard recipes while practicing prudent portion control.

In this role, bartenders will also engage directly with guests, taking orders, checking identification, and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed. Responsibilities extend to maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive bar environment that meets health and safety standards through regular cleaning and organization. Bartenders will lock up and store all beverage products, food items, equipment, and cash securely at the end of shifts. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous bartending experience preferred
  • Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Capability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Age verification skills
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and making change

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in bartending or similar role preferred

Job Duties

  • Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
  • Sets up assigned bars
  • requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
  • Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
  • Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner
  • Takes and/or processes orders for drinks
  • mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes
  • practices prudent portion control
  • Checks guests at the bar for proper identification
  • Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained
  • Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws
  • Receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies validity of charges, records charges and ensures vouchers are properly executed
