The position available is the Lancaster Food and Beverage Manager, classified as a salaried exempt role with an annual salary range of $73,000-$76,000. Reporting directly to the Director of Food & Beverage, this significant leadership role requires overseeing all aspects of the facility's management including purchasing, booking, food and beverage, box office, security, maintenance, parking, and related operational functions. The role demands a hands-on approach with capability to manage these diverse functions directly or through departmental supervisors.

The Food and Beverage Manager will maintain active communication with clients and contract administrators to ensure adherence to service contracts and maintain beneficial relationships with the client's companies, sponsors, and staff. They will be instrumental in ensuring smooth coordination and administration of training, safety protocols, emergency procedures, crowd control, and crisis management plans. Part of the responsibilities involve preparing detailed reports for both clients and corporate headquarters. The manager will plan, organize, coordinate, and direct activities vital to sustaining the facility's efficient and safe operations and will lead weekly staff and production meetings to optimize team performance.

The manager is also tasked with overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with Legends Global standards, and conducting post-event operational and financial reviews to gauge performance and identify improvements. Promoting and maintaining the integrity and reputation of the facility and the Legends brand across all communications and personal interactions is vital. They will ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations in administering personnel and plant operations. Continuous evaluation of facility practices with a focus on meeting client needs and improving operational efficiency is essential.

Recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of administrative and supervisory staff fall within this manager's purview. The role requires establishing productive working relationships with tenants, employees, labor vendors, and the public. The manager will also oversee the execution quality of food and beverage services during events and will undertake other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the facility and company objectives.

Successful candidates will bring excellent organizational and communication skills, the ability to prioritize multiple projects and work flexible hours including nights and weekends. A professional attitude and appearance, along with some travel, are expected. Candidates generally hold a bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or related fields, coupled with experience in contract negotiation, business law, purchasing, and personnel supervision. Knowledge of entertainment facility management, event planning, safety regulations, and hospitality customer service principles are essential to thrive in this dynamic role.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • maintains active contact with the client and contract administrator
  • monitors legends compliance with all provisions of the services contract
  • maintains relationship with all of client’s companies, sponsors, and related staff
  • establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the client, tenants, government departments, entertainment industry, and community organizations
  • assures the coordination, implementation and administration of training, safety, emergency procedures, crowd control and crisis management
  • prepares and maintains required reports for the client and corporate office
  • plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs activities and personnel engaged in maintaining and operating the facility
  • conducts weekly staff and production meetings
  • provides control of day-to-day operations and conducts post-event operational and financial review
  • assures the integrity of the facility and legends in all communication
  • ensures personnel administration and operation of plant complies with applicable regulations
  • evaluates facility practices and recommends improvements
  • recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates administrative and supervisory staff
  • establishes and maintains relationships with tenants, employees, labor vendors and general public
  • oversees day of food and beverage execution and quality
  • performs all other duties as assigned
