The position available at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort is a leadership role within the spa and fitness center, specifically managing the Four Diamond service and spa operations. This role is crucial in directing and coordinating all aspects of spa productivity, guest satisfaction, membership sales, team member development, and financial goals. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to oversee the budgeting, sales, expenses, staffing, and marketing efforts of the spa and fitness center, ensuring that all operations align with the high standards for which the resort is known. From managing cash flow and revenue to hiring and training team members, this position requires a dynamic leader capable of maintaining the integrity and excellence of the Ocean Spa and Fitness Center.

Additionally, the role involves developing and nurturing relationships with outside vendors, community leaders, local organizations, and guests to promote spa services and membership activities. A key part of the job is managing all membership sales professionally while adhering to local, state, and federal regulations. The position demands a hands-on approach to resolving demanding guest situations to maintain satisfaction and uphold the spa's reputation. The leader in this role will also facilitate continuous team development through training and evaluation, ensuring the staff possesses the necessary licenses and certifications and exemplifies professional and ethical standards.

Job Requirements

  • minimum of 3 years experience in spa or hotel spa management

Job Duties

  • oversee the budget, sales, expenses, staffing, marketing as relates to all areas of responsibility
  • responsible for cash flow, revenues and expenses as relates to the spa and fitness center and spa membership activities
  • responsible for hiring, scheduling, termination and disciplinary actions as relates to team member
  • responsible for team member training, development and evaluation to ensure the highest of professional and work ethics in the Ocean Spa and Fitness Center
  • ensure all staff maintains required licenses and certifications as required by law
  • develop and maintain contact with outside vendors, community leaders, local organizations and incoming groups and individual guest in order to maintain and promote the Ocean Spa and Fitness Center
  • ensure all membership sales are handled in a professional manner, observing all local, state and federal regulations
  • assist team members in dealing with demanding guest situations when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction and follow up while maintaining the integrity of the spa and fitness center
  • attend all training sessions and meetings as required
