Harkins Theatres values teamwork, dedication, and a strong work ethic, creating a culture where their employees can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the guest experience.
The Dishwasher role at Harkins Theatres is essential in upholding the cleanliness and sanitation standards within the kitchen, food preparation areas, and some parts of the theatre itself. This position is fundamental to ensuring that guests enjoy a hygienic dining environment, which directly contributes to customer satisfaction and the theatre's overall reputation. The dishwasher is responsible for operating and maintaining the dishwashing equipment, ensuring all tableware and kitchenware are properly cleaned and stored. Additionally, the dishwasher assists with cleaning the outside loading area and various surfaces within the lobby and kitchen spaces. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Employees in this position work to ensure all health and safety regulations are met by monitoring water temperatures and chemical levels in the dishwasher, maintaining a clean dish room, and handling all utensils and dishware carefully to prevent damage. The role involves routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and organizing to preserve the cleanliness of the kitchen and lobby floors. The dishwasher also supports the maintenance of adequate supplies for the auditorium, bar, and kitchen by managing linens and trash containers as needed.
Ideal candidates for this position will have experience in high-volume restaurant environments and be comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays. They must be physically able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring bending, stretching, lifting, and walking on various surfaces. Furthermore, the position requires the acquisition and maintenance of a current food handler's card or food safety certification. Harkins Theatres prioritizes safety and inclusivity, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds and ensuring equal employment opportunities. This role offers a unique chance to join a dynamic team dedicated to excellent service and a clean, safe environment for guests.
