Job Description
CenExel Clinical Research is a distinguished network of research facilities specializing in Phase I to Phase IV clinical trials. The company operates several Centers of Excellence across the United States, focusing on various therapeutic areas such as Psychiatry, Acute Post Operative Pain, Asian Bridging, Dermatology, Gastrointestinal (GI), and Neurology. Known for its deep expertise and experience, each CenExel site brings considerable proficiency in conducting complex early phase trials and offers in-patient capabilities to enhance the quality and reliability of clinical research. The organization places a strong emphasis on employing highly skilled clinical research managers, fostering teamwork, and maintaining a commitment to quality people and reliable outcomes. This approach has established CenExel as a respected leader in the clinical research industry, aiming to advance medical knowledge through rigorous and ethical clinical trials that adhere to all regulatory standards.
The role available at CenExel involves performing select diagnostic testing and foundational tasks necessary to provide essential laboratory testing services within their clinical research programs. This position supports multiple laboratory disciplines, which may include hematology, urinalysis, and chemistry. The role requires carrying out analytical processes that necessitate minimal interpretation and judgment, focusing instead on precise execution and documentation. Operating primarily Monday through Friday mornings, with additional weekends as required, this position offers hourly compensation ranging from $18.00 to $23.00 depending on the candidate's education, experience, and skillset. This laboratory technician role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of laboratory operations, supporting study conduct preparedness, and ensuring compliance with various protocols and regulatory guidelines. It also involves managing laboratory sample storage, assisting with data validation on instrumentation, and maintaining comprehensive records such as harvest logs and chain of custody documents. Working hands-on in a clinical, indoor environment, the position demands physical activity such as sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting of light weights up to 20 pounds, all essential to supporting the clinical research process. Candidates motivated to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and who uphold strict adherence to FDA regulations, Good Clinical Practices, and company policies will find this role rewarding and impactful in furthering clinical research excellence at CenExel.
