Founded with the vision of advancing food safety standards, IEH Laboratories operates cutting-edge facilities and employs skilled professionals dedicated to delivering reliable and accurate analytical results. The company prioritizes scientific rigor and compliance with industry standards, making it a trusted partner for food manufacturers, regulatory agencies, and consumers alike. Headquartered in Greeley, Colorado, IEH Laboratories has built a reputation for excellence in the laboratory testing industry through its dedication to continuous improvement, innovation, and customer service.
The Laboratory Technician role at IEH Laboratories is a full-time, in-person position based at their Greeley, CO facility. This role is vital in supporting the laboratory’s operations through precise and accurate wet chemistry testing, sample preparation, and data analysis. The ideal candidate will work primarily with gravimetric and titrimetric testing methods, including determining pH, moisture, fat, and protein content of food samples. This hands-on position requires thorough understanding and application of aseptic laboratory techniques, proficiency in data entry, and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a high-paced environment. The technician will be responsible for sample receiving, preparing and analyzing samples according to standardized operating procedures, evaluating test data, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of laboratory equipment and workspace. Occasionally, the technician may also assist in the microbiology lab with sample preparation tasks.
The position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $16.00 to $18.00, dependent on experience, and includes a robust benefits package after a short waiting period. Benefits encompass medical, dental, and vision coverage; life and AD&D insurance; long and short-term disability insurance; as well as health and dependent care flexible spending accounts. Employees also benefit from an employee assistance program, paid time off including sick leave and vacation, paid holidays, bereavement leave, and participation in a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match. Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break. Candidates with moderate to severe food allergies are discouraged from applying due to exposure risks in the laboratory environment.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking to advance their laboratory career in a well-respected company dedicated to food safety and quality assurance. IEH Laboratories values accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to scientific excellence, providing an enriching work environment and opportunities for professional development. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply through the company’s official online job portal, submitting a cover letter, resume, and references combined into a single PDF. The company is an equal opportunity employer supporting veterans and individuals with disabilities.
