Job Description

Schlessinger MD is a nationally and internationally recognized dermatology and cosmetic surgery clinic founded in 1993 by board-certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon Dr. Joel Schlessinger. With its headquarters in Omaha, Schlessinger MD has distinguished itself as a cutting-edge establishment that consistently pushes the boundaries of skincare and cosmetic surgery. The clinic has garnered numerous accolades, including eight 'Best of Omaha' awards across various departments, a testament to its dedication to quality, innovation, and patient care. Schlessinger MD operates alongside its sister company LovelySkin, both of which share a commitment to diversity, equality, and providing a supportive environment for employees and patients alike.

Joining Schlessinger MD means becoming part of a dynamic team that values expertise, collaboration, and continuous growth. The clinic offers both part-time and full-time positions for experienced Laboratory Technicians who are motivated to contribute their skills in a thriving healthcare environment. This role is pivotal in supporting the dermatology clinic by ensuring that all laboratory samples and tests are prepared, executed, and analyzed with the highest level of accuracy and efficiency. As a Laboratory Technician at Schlessinger MD, you will work closely with clinical and nursing staff, fostering a seamless interplay between laboratory diagnostics and patient care.

The Laboratory Technician role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including the preparation, labeling, and processing of laboratory specimens; conducting routine laboratory tests and experiments; and managing laboratory instrumentation. You will be instrumental in maintaining meticulous records of test results and will collaborate in quality control and quality assurance programs to sustain the clinic's superior standards. Additionally, this position requires adherence to strict safety protocols and compliance with regulatory standards, underlining the importance of precision and ethical practice in healthcare.

Beyond technical proficiency, candidates are expected to possess strong organizational and analytical abilities, allowing them to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and laboratory information systems is essential, as is the ability to communicate clearly and work both independently and collaboratively. This role also offers opportunities to support the dermatology clinic’s RN team by assisting with tasks such as cataloging lab pickups and preparing patient trays, demonstrating the versatile nature of the position.

Schlessinger MD offers a competitive compensation package along with fantastic benefits for full-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. Employees receive a 401K plan with a generous match and profit sharing, annual bonuses, paid time off with holidays, and an employee discount on all products and services. The clinic fosters a positive work environment characterized by respect and inclusivity, celebrating diversity across all levels. If you are an experienced Laboratory Technician looking to advance your career in a passionate and supportive setting, Schlessinger MD may be the perfect fit for you.
