Employees in this role work a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, however, candidates must be flexible to work on weekends as the laboratory operates during weekends as well. The role involves multitasking in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and effective communication abilities. In addition to a supportive team environment, the Laboratory Sample Prep Technician is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package after a brief waiting period. Job Duties
- Prepare and perform quality control of various laboratory medias
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and laboratory records
- Prepare samples for testing according to established protocols
- Manage laboratory inventory and report shortages or damaged materials
- Follow aseptic techniques to minimize contamination risks
- Communicate effectively with laboratory personnel and management
- Assist with other laboratory tasks as assigned
