The Laboratory Analyst - Rotational Night Shift position at IEH Laboratories' Salinas, CA facility plays a critical role in the company’s mission to uphold the highest standards of food safety. This is a full-time position offering a starting wage of $21.00 per hour plus a $2.00 night shift differential. The role involves working in a fast-paced, 24/7 laboratory environment where the analyst will conduct microbiological analyses on food samples to detect pathogens and ensure product safety. The primary analytical methods include PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) and immunoassay, techniques vital for identifying harmful microorganisms such as Listeria, Salmonella, and E.coli. Additionally, the analyst will perform various microbe enumerations and undertake quality control and media preparation responsibilities to maintain accuracy and compliance within the lab.
Candidates will benefit from comprehensive training provided during the day shift hours, after which the work schedule will rotate between afternoon and night shifts.
