With access to specialized neonatal services, the unit handles approximately 2,000 to 3,000 births annually.
In this role, the Labor & Delivery RN is responsible for delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that prioritizes safety and comfort for both mother and newborn. The nurse manages detailed documentation, participates actively in quality improvement and Magnet-driven clinical initiatives, and supports cost-effective resource stewardship. This position also entails precepting new team members and rotating into charge nurse responsibilities to facilitate smooth unit operations and optimize patient outcomes. The ideal candidate possesses at least five years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience and holds an active New York RN license. In addition to clinical excellence, the role demands strong teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, emotionally rewarding setting.
The hospital offers competitive compensation along with generous benefits, including tuition assistance, shift differentials for nights and weekends, and recognition of specialized expertise.
