The Lab Technologist - Chemistry position at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is a full-time role with a shift from midnight to 8:00 AM, including alternating weekend coverage. This position is vital for the laboratory operations, focusing on conducting a variety of automated and manual chemical tests on laboratory specimens to gather critical data used for diagnostic and therapeutic decisions. The technologist is responsible for performing both STAT (urgent) and routine testing with precision and efficiency. Board certification (ASCP or NCA) is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology alongside the Clinical Laboratory Technologist license from the New York State Education Department.
