The role of Lab Technician - Seasonal at Deerpoint Group is designed for individuals eager to work in a fast-paced agricultural testing laboratory setting. This position involves performing a variety of routine analyses, including water, soil, and plant tissue testing using established scientific methodologies. The Lab Technician will be responsible for collecting data, performing precise calculations, and preparing reports that reflect accurate results essential to agricultural research and production improvements. Supervised by the Lab Manager, the technician will prepare chemical reagents and solutions consistently while ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and cleanliness standards within the lab. Furthermore, the role demands regular maintenance and calibration of analytical instruments such as pH meters, conductivity meters, ICP, LECO, and FIA systems to guarantee high-quality data output. Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Conduct testing and analyses of water, soil and plant tissue using established methods
- Follow standard operating procedures to prepare plant and soil samples while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Collect data, perform calculations and prepare accurate reports in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate, thorough and up-to-date files, logs and laboratory notebooks
- Prepare reagents and chemical solutions daily
- Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on lab equipment
- Maintain safety in all phases of job performance including chemical handling and operating lab instruments
